    Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain stroller that is light durable, sturdy and provides excellent maneuverability. The compact fold using one hand makes it easy to carry. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines to a near-flat position, and there’s a huge storage bin and canopy. Newborn suitability? Yes and with a carrycot.

Good suspension and air-filled tyres can handle rough terrain. It’s also suitable for jogging, but you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old before doing this.

3 wheeled pushchairs from Ickle Bubba is a brilliant choice for parents who want a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. The travel system comes with a carrycot that is flat for infants as well as a multi-position rear and forward facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It’s easy to understand why it’s earned praise from its customers. It’s incredibly light – the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg – and it’s also super-easy to put together. I was able get it up and running in under five minutes. This is amazing considering that it included attaching fabric for the carrycot.

The seat is large and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to use. There’s plenty of space inside the basket and I am awestruck by the fact that it has a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so you can keep your keys and phone secure!

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is low, which can be an issue for parents who are taller. However, it’s coated in a lovely leather-like material that’s soft and comfortable and cleans down easily, meaning it’s still easy to push even with bags and children in your hands!

    Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who want to go out and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels are designed to be used on field and forest paths, and the front wheel can be rotated and locked for extra versatility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness as well as a front bar to keep your little one safe on all trips, while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving when you take a break. The seat can be repositioned to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit mum or dad.

The Runner will accompany you on your next adventure whether it’s a short walk, a longer hike or a long distance trek. It comes with a lay-flat seat and suspension air wheels to ensure a smooth ride. The front wheel can be locked to provide greater stability when walking on narrow streets or busy sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded up to fit in car boot spaces and storage spaces.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally the locking system (requiring two buttons on either on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than other strollers’, so it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms however, overall it’s a sturdy and versatile stroller worth considering for active families.

    Red Kite Push Me pacing

The Pace is a great option from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which is known for its simple and well-designed parenting essentials. It’s the latest and most expensive version of their bargain light stroller line. It, like the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo is car seat compatible which means you can use it from the beginning (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design features, like a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which really make it stand out. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are super stylish and there is an option to add the leather handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

It is suitable from birth up to a max weight of 22kg. The stroller seat converts easily from the carrycot into a 2-in-1 reversible mode, facing the parent or the world. The stroller seat comes with multiple lie back positions, soft padded leg rest support and has an extendable sun canopy with concealed zip sections, a viewing transparent flaps, and an retractable sun visor.

What’s more, when it’s folded in half, the Pace is 56 32 x 43 cm which means it can be used as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among others. It’s also easy to fold, thanks to two buttons on either side of the handlebar which just click in and pop up.

    Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo’s Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features shorter wheel length that makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I put it to the test with my two children – one a toddler and another eight week old – over the rocky roads as well as woodland walks that are grassy and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels, which measure 22cm or 30cm in diameter are able to handle a variety of terrains. They also have a handy flap that can open or closes to let more air to enter should you need it and is a nice touch. It is a little bigger than other pushchairs, however it isn’t heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric for the seat can be washed by machine and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It’s also a lot quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt comfortable using it on busy city streets. Another benefit is that it has integrated accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs, parasols, changing bags, and even a tray for snacks. The hood can be used to block rain and wind, but it’s not waterproof. The single pram can be outfitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included) which allows your child more leg room. It took around 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and the same amount of time to transform it into the seat.

    UPPAbaby Ridge

No matter if you’re enjoying an early morning run under the stars or a moonlit walk in the cool air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a shared one. This all-terrain stroller was designed to keep you and your child engaged.

The large 12″ and 16″ foam-filled tires offer a smooth ride, no matter the terrain. The suspension system that is patent-pending allows you to glide effortlessly along woodland trails while minimizing impact on the legs and back of your child. The durable hand brake that is a performance disc lets you to stop quickly, even when running downhill.

From bustling farmers markets to street musicians performing a tune, the Ridge navigates all your most loved city scenes effortlessly. The large basket is able to hold all your essentials as well as market purchases, while the large canopy offers sun and wind protection. The canopy on the front can be unzipped to reveal two mesh peekaboos that permit you to watch your baby.

The Ridge’s reversible seating allows you to decide if your child is facing the world in front of them or you, and its simple foot brake system is intuitive for parents who are new. The reversible handlebar is fantastic feature that lets you adjust it according to your height. And unlike some jogging strollers the Ridge folds reliable and stays self-standing while folded.

    iCandy Core

iCandy’s new pushchair has many features that will be awe-inspiring to parents. It has a Multi-Mode Wheelbase and a pioneering LED Visibility Hub Light that is an industry first. It features an integrated Ride-on Board which helps save on future costs, and lets tired toddlers accompany their parents during outings.

The Core is available as a travel system or a single seat. It works with most popular car seats, including those from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also comes with the largest seat unit in the iCandy range, so it will last your baby’s initial years and beyond. Like all iCandy pushchairs, it’s luxuriously designed and is made of premium knitted jersey fabric. The child’s adjustable bumper bar as well as the handlebar that parents can adjust are made of soft leatherette. The calf support folds away is also very comfortable for children.

It was quite impressive how quickly it folded and collapsed even with the seat unit still attached. It can easily fit in your hallway or boot, making it ideal for travel. The iCandy Core includes a variety of accessories, like the matching changing rucksack, or liner or footmuff.
